Day Forty-Five: Along the Willamette

The Willamette in Sepia

Dark brown is the river.
Golden is the sand.
It flows along forever,
With trees on either hand.

"Where go the boats" by Robert Lewis Stevenson

Did you learn this song at summer camp?

Day Forty-Four: Vase and Tray

Something from the past and, now, from my own kitchen.  Plus a distraction.  Or two.

Day Forty-Two: Bergerac Bistro

It's all the buzz in my neighborhood,
the charming new French bistro.

New style work/live space

The bistro was open for business with several patrons seated when I came around with the camera; this is a hurried shot.

Day Forty-One: Place of Worship

In this time of mourning the damage done to Notre Dame, here is a church in my neighborhood, all straight lines with a bush and fallen petals for contrast.

Day Forty: Weathered Rocks from Point Lobos

My little collection of rocks weathered both by the ocean and through rock-boring bivalves.  You can see the sedimentary layers in the two rocks on the right and some kind of white lines in the center bottom rock.

Day Thirty-Three: Spring Garden Flowers on the Sunnyside

Just a walk from the bus to my SMART volunteer gig.
So many small but insistent signs of Spring.
Got out the point&shoot and captured a few pics.

Small pink unknown amongst tattered leaves.

Grape Hyacinth, one of my favorites from childhood.

Cascading Manzanita.

Oh lovely, checker lily is a garden flower here.  Brings back good memories of hiking the Forest Trail at Coe Park.

Day Thirty-One: Oscar in Wicker

Oscar in a circle.
Fuzzy shot, Oscar in a plane and a circle within a circle.

Day Thirty: Colors

Lovely colors in the Kaiser lobby;
just made me happy while waiting for the PA.
