Day Thirty-One: My Faithful Model

On this one, I wish I could blur out the far background.

Day Nineteen: Les deux roses

Prowling around my place with a headache on my mind......found a yellow rose and a stinking rose.

No words, just image today.

Day Nine: At the Museum

I'm leery of taking photos of people unawares in public, don't like to invade their privacy.  Still, this is the photo I like best today: color & shape.  Photo on the wall is by Ruth Bernhard.

Day Eight: Stop Recruiting Kids

http://www.stoprecruitingkids.org/

San Jose meeting highlighting Dave Meserve's experience in Arcata and Eureka CA, outlawing military recruitment of youth under age 18.

David Ledesma spoke about his efforts at convincing SJ high school students that there are valid alternatives to military service.

Two heros!

Day Seven: Around Campus

Walked a bit out of my way in the morning and was reminded of how wonderful the old gym is.

Day Six: Hands

Today I wanted to focus more intimately and I chose hands.

Day Five: The Sun Comes Out

And I go up to the eighth floor to see what I can get on campus and downtown.    Saint Joseph's looks crisp and clear this morning.

And look how Caret Plaza shines in the  morning sunlight.

Day Four: more rain

Busy day, got this image outside the doctor's office at Lawrence & Arques. Don't even know if I like it or not, but I think it's going to be my best try today. Enjoy!

Day Three, part two

Walking out of the Library this evening, Caret Plaza looked so beautiful: wet and shining. Here is an attempt to capture the light, with a few students for human interest.

Day three: campus in the rain

Got this one the moment I hit campus; hadn't noticed the yellow flags before. I think my eye is sharpening. Did some post-production on PS: cropped, upped the contrast, upped the yellow saturation. This one was fairly busy with a lot of elements I wanted to keep, but they made the image too busy.

Photo A Day: day two

Well, this photo a day project sent me out in the blustery rain to see what I could find. First I came across the Villa Street chickens (yes, they frequently cross Villa Street) and they came running up to me. Guess they were hoping for some corn but all they got was a camera popping away. Here's the best one. Everything else was a blur.

My main destination was the field of mustard on Grant Road. Just a few old trees and some outbuildings. Lots of wind and some thunder. Here's what I got.
